YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!
I have three days to make one of those fancy schmancy baby shower cakes for my goddaughter PLUS 48 cupcakes, all with a moon and stars theme, so imma need to listen to a lot of podcast to distract my brain while I fondant me 3 teddy bears. Gotta love ADHD!
By the way, Howard was saying he's actually been promoting Simone Dinnerstein for years, thru the show.
Of course this is bull$hit, Howard has always acted as if Simone Dinnerstein was using Robin, and was a Hanger-On.
(I'm not sure Robin losing it was even real, it was a segment at the top of the show on it, Howard knew it was coming).

But the worst example I can cite is Dinnerstein’s playing of the opening movement of the First Partita, played at a ludicrously slow tempo and with rhythmic freedom that would be excessive in Chopin. This is truly awful musicianship.
Dinnerstein is, alas, only the latest in a series of prominent musicians who have come to fame by playing in a manner I consider self-indulgent and unmusical.

So I was standing in my kitchen making dinner last night listening to this. My jaw hit the floor when Monique started to sing Blink 182 at the end. I didn't think Monique would remember anything my age group remembered. Crazy. Absolutely crazy.
Speaking of which @ARM, I've made mention of this to you before but I was also a teenager when I found the Stern show and yep, it was basically my other teenage friends finding the E show and introducing it to me because it was the only thing that seemed interesting to a teenage boy's mind on cable TV after 10pm when we stayed over at each others houses. I wasn't that interested in the stripper antics but Artie made me laugh the most so you're right about that aspect as well but also the fun ball busting that would happen quite often. As I got older, people in college were still watching it late at night in their apartments but most people didn't listen to the Stern show. I was one of the few people in my area who would actively try to find the show online, download it, and play it using different kinds of cheapo Korean mp3 players since I couldn't afford an iPod and then eventually I would put it on my phones instead of carrying 2 devices. The Stern show was pretty much my first podcast and I stopped listening to every show when it was clear Artie wasn't coming back and then I would only listen when I saw on Marksfriggin that ETM was on and then it was a total blackout when he died. Between that and now I would only listen to the pirated clip packs and Youtube clips people would post and that's how I even found out what people like Billy West were like.
Also, I agree with you guys that Shalom Dinnerstein playing the Shekelberg Variations was awful to listen to. It's like the audio version of modern art, designed to be ugly, hostile to the mind itself, and ruin what art and music is supposed to mean to people. Absolute garbage that only a dumb bitch like Robin would think gives her any "class".
