Tried to do the tango w/ Pictus Cat and got a gnarly rash on it's Chianese cheek .
If we could catch it we would remove it

I see six, this could keep me busy for hours3ish months later...
The plants have filled in nicely ...
Believe it or not there are around 50 fish in this picture most of them are chilling behind the plants and mostly come out during feeding time

Are those neon tetras? They look like mine but mine tend to stay schooled in tight formations. Maybe a different sub species or something.3ish months later...

Just Googled it mine may be scared of the Angelfish.

It is weird. I've never noticed the angels trying to hunt them and the number or Neons doesn't seem to decrease.Yes those are neons...
I love Tetra.. I have several schools of different species icardinal, neon, red eye, gold, Colombian Tetra and rummy nose...(2 aquariums)
And yes they should be afraid of angelfish especially once they get big enough to fit in their mouths

I need to find the pics of my Betta that died a couple of years ago. He was beautiful. Bright blue with all fins lined in red. I kept him in a 2 gallon which may seem small but nice and comfortable for a single betta. I loved that fish.from what I've read if the Angels were acquired young enough or they were around tetra when they were smaller sometimes they don't recognize him as a food source...
I think it also helps if they are well fed maybe
To be fair that's pretty much all fish they recognize things that fit in their mouths as food
My betta fish was acquired young enough that he doesn't try to eat the shrimp in the tank... Nor did he try to fight the other brightly colored fish that he lives with
Where if he would have been bigger he probably would have been at an all you can eat buffet ...
He has to be close to 6 years old at this point so maybe not eating shrimp is the key to a long beta life

Betas have a bad rap they are absolutely one of the most fun fish you can put it in anaquariumI need to find the pics of my Betta that died a couple of years ago. He was beautiful. Yup. The woman wanted to do a new tank setup so we're doing a new setup. Just washed some fluval dirt balls or whatever it is and some black sand. I'm in it now boys.
I'm not complaining I find fish calming. Just one of those things where the chicka wants to do something together but takes over all decision making.![]()
No it's some sort of plant media for the bottom. I think it's volcanic rock or something but they are brittle and crumble if you're too rough with them.Wait what kind of fluval are we talking about here as in filter?
You do know you're not supposed to wash away the filters dirt balls as they are just media to grow bacteria which actually will keep your fish alive
What size aquarium what type of fish ?

That really looks well done. I give you a lot of shit but you know what you are doing with this.3ish months later...

Just 29 gallon nothing huge. Right now just some orange ish/reddish tetras in a small tank. Those are getting moved to the new tank once it settles in. Then will add a few skrimps and something else. You know - whatever SHE wants.![]()

Whoa that's cool.Im a huge fan of Takashi Amano RIP and the style he pioneered..if your fish haven't been moved ... There is a ton you can do with that size tank and with those fish..
You guys should Google him for inspection .
I grabbed another 75 gallon tank during the holidays and upgraded the fish from my 2nd tank to a new home
