His was a massive money contract and I could not see the team waiting for him to rehab and when he did there is no guarantee he'll be near a 100% of his old self. I can't see any team paying him an absurd amount. I do see signing him for a short term contract for a smaller number.this was a hot topic last week from the talking heads saying that there will be no takers if he was let go and everyone was anticipating he was going to be released. a new rule for the 2025-2026 season, NBA end-of-quarter shots of at least 36 feet will not count against a player's individual statistics. These "heaves" will now only count as a team shot attempt, which encourages players to take them without hurting their shooting percentage.
