The whole point of this Mid East conflict was to spend trillions on bombs and tanks and housing for soldiers and all the other costs associated w a war.
This was never, in my opinion, about “liberating” these people. They don’t understand the concept of “freedom” and the people in charge f**king knew this

I recall after 9-11-2001 the assholes that planned that attack on us were there and needed killing.
It became nation building as the years rolled on.

Realistically they should have realized that eventually we're going to leave and try to get the fuck out of that country 20 years is a good amount of time to do that
